This web-site started with a few names relating to the family of Bernard 
Volkmann which emigrated from Posen, Prussia to South Australia in 1847. I 
then added some names to my mother's side (especially the Pattersons from 
England). It has since grown to include the family lines on my wife Kaye's 
side (especially Nightscales from Yorkshire and Price from Wales). Along the 
way I've discovered interesting links to families in Germany, Denmark, Poland, 
England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. In other words, the typical mixture that 
one finds in Australian emigrant families. There are still plenty of gaps, so 
if you have information to add please contact me.
